The best sex toys to take on holiday

Posted in: Essential Guides

Going away on holiday is exciting regardless of your relationship status, and we believe it should be pleasurable as well. Most people like getting busy in hotel rooms, on the beach, or anywhere really, so bringing sex toys on holiday is a no-brainer. Just make sure your dildo doesn’t get covered in sand - that would be rough. Literally. Packing a sex toy or two into a travel bag can feel strange - especially if your fave toy is bigger than the bag - so think first before you try to cram that fisting dildo into your luggage. Maybe leave it at home and save the cramming for your return.

Sex toys to take on holiday

So, you’ve been shopping around for the perfect sex toy to take on your jollys, but you’re still unsure what to buy? When it comes to selecting the ideal travel companion - discreet sex toys are the best choice. By discreet we mean small but still packing a punch. Don’t get us wrong, we love a gigantic, vibrating, thrusting dildo as much as the next person - but it’s not the most subtle choice.

Sex toys that can fit in your hand luggage

Even the most confident sex toys lovers probably wouldn’t want security to whip out their 43 inch colon snake in the airport - not that there’s anything wrong with this lovely serpent - it just might shock the grandma stood behind you. Although, it's probably not the weirdest and definitely not the worst thing security has seen in someone's bag.

Finding a toy that can slip into a crevice inside your hand luggage is perfect for vacation play time. That’s why we’ve come up with some small, yet mighty, sex toy options.

Bullet vibrators

Everyone loves a bullet vibrator. They’re small, they’re kind of cute, and they come in a range of colours. Just like this adorable rainbow bullet - and we promise that you’ll be seeing rainbows after you use this bad boy. A tip to remember when packing your tiny vibrating friend is to remove the batteries. This will avoid anything setting off earlier than planned. As vibrators are electrical - you might have to get it out when you go through security - to avoid this, we suggest putting your vibrator in a clear bag and placing it at the top of your luggage. This way, the scanners will easily be able to see what it is. Even if your bag does get opened up, own your pleasure.

Small dildos

Size doesn’t matter. It’s how you use it that counts. In the case of travelling, a small dildo will be your friend through and through - so give these little guys a chance. They can slip and slide right in between your clothes for ultimate secrecy. Discreet dildos might just be your new favourite toy to satisfy all holes.

Little butt plugs

If anal is your thing - and you were hoping to get your fill on holiday - don’t stress - our small butt plugs are here to save your anus. Up to three inches of anal heaven, these metallic mates are ideal for your hand-luggage. It’s always possible that your bag could get flagged up - but say it with your chest when they delve into your bag and ask what this door knob looking object is. Otherwise, pack them in a check-in bag if you have one to avoid any questions.

Mini prostate massagers

Massaging your prostate has loads of health benefits - so why would you want to miss out on them just because you’re on holiday? Luckily for all you prostate owners out there - a small prostate massager is the perfect travel buddy. Never judge a book by its cover - this is especially the case when it comes to little prostate massagers. They may be small, but their pleasure levels are high. Stimulate your prostate to the max wherever you are.

Sex toys for your check in bag

Checking in a larger hold bag gives you more room (literally) to pack sex toys - bringing that huge dildo might not be so tricky afterall. Go wild with your sex toys - you’re not going to be there if they spot anything- so, bring whatever you want. When packing a sex toy into a larger bag there’s still the issue of space to think about. After all, you’re probably going to need clothes more than a strap-on - you won’t be wearing that to the beach… hopefully. Just pack the essentials.

Extras

Bringing your bondage kit on holiday sounds like an amazing idea - spice up your sex toy play with handcuffs and whips. Although, packing a whip and some chains into your hand luggage might not be as conspicuous as you might like - but, there are ways around it. Is it a sleeping mask or is it a sex mask? Is it a chunky necklace or a sexy slave collar? Who knows - definitely not airport security. Be wary that more intense bondage toys might get flagged by security.

Travel essentials

Just because you’re in another country doesn’t mean that you should forget about sex essentials. Condoms can be easily slipped into your hand luggage alongside a small 100ml bottle of lube - or if you’re checking a bag, and you’re planning for a hell of a lot of sex, maybe you want to opt for its larger 500ml sibling. Don’t forget to clean your sex toys after playtime - this is always important, so we suggest using our small anti-bacterial spray - perfect for travelling.

Which countries don’t allow sex toys?

Sadly, sexual freedom and pleasure is not promoted globally, and it’s actually illegal to bring sex toys into some countries. We’ve listed the countries below that you shouldn’t take your play things into:

  1. • The Maldives - Here sex toys are classed as ‘pornographic material’ and are not allowed into the country
  2. • Saudi Arabia - They are also classed as ‘pornographic material’ here too. Not even your bullet vibrator will be making the trip
  3. • Malaysia - In Malaysia, they’re very strict on their sex toy laws. If you bring yours along, you may face a fine or be imprisoned for up to three years, or both
  4. • The United Arab Emirates - Leave your mates at home for this trip as they are prohibited in the UAE
  5. • Thailand - The authorities in Thailand would not be so keen on you bringing your tentacle dildo here, as they are illegal here, too
  6. • Vietnam - Taking a toy into Vietnam will get it confiscated at customs - but apparently they’ll give it back to you when you leave, which is… nice? Still probably best not to take it at all
  7. • India - Here, your dildo or chosen play mate is classed as an ‘obscene object’ and is most definitely not welcome. Even if it is the original home of the Kama Sutra
  8. • US (Alabama) - In Alabama you can bring your own sex toy in, but as the sale of sex toys is illegal - you can’t sell it to anyone. Not sure why you would do that, but each to their own. We still suggest not to take yours here - better safe than sorry
  9. • US (Texas) - Texas law says that you can’t own more than six dildos, we’re not sure who’s checking but it’s probably best to avoid taking any of your dildos at all. They might multiply to six when you get there - who knows

We don’t promote these bans at all, but if you’re desperate to travel to one of these countries, then we recommend leaving your beloved insertable or vibrating pals at home. If you’re wanting a bit more advice on discreet sex toys - get in contact today.
