Age ain’t nothing but a number…. Especially when it comes to unleashing your inner fetishes in the bedroom.
Guess what? Our research has found that we’re having the most adventurous sex of our lives at the age of 51 for men and 27 for women...… well they do say guys mature slower!
When we break it down even further, our data shows that most of our female customers are aged between 24 - 32, whilst male customers are aged between 40 - 51.
Maybe there’s a reason why Leonardo DiCaprio always goes for women in their 20’s….. Clearly these two age groups have mind-blowing sessions!
It’s not just Leo…. Jason Statham and Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley have a 20 year age gap, when Harrison Ford met Calista Flockheart they were in our best sex age brakcets (and look how long they’ve been together!) and Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are the epitome of happiness...plus remember when he linked giving too much oral sex to his throat cancer?! But don't worry that was more likely to be down to his Hollywood lifestyle.
Why The Big Gap?
Sex expert Gillian Myhill thinks it’s all down to empowerment:
The obvious statement is that women are far more advanced when it comes to being sexually liberated and emotionally in touch with how they feel. They also sexually mature at a younger age, and begin exploring their own bodies in a very different way than men. For the most part, men need activation and arousal, where women necessarily do not, and are more directed by self pleasure, instead being led by someone else. Obviously, this isn't the case for everyone, and it's difficult to generalise as everyone's journey is different. However, I do truly believe that women are far more in touch with their sexuality, and providing they feel emotionally comfortable within themselves then they have the confidence to be able to explore and experiment.
I also think there is an element of ageism here too. Many women feel sexier when they are in their early to mid twenties, before their bodies start to change, with many wanting to explore before they choose to settle down and have children.
With men, they tend to mature when they are older, and are more likely to explore then, when they have the maturity and confidence to do so. However, counter to this, I find that many women in their late 30s and early 40s are very sexually liberated, as for many women, body confidence and acceptance also comes with age, with many feeling very different about their bodies when they are older - more comfortable.
What Do We Think?
Life would be more than a little boring if we all had the same wants and desires in the bedroom, so we say get exploring, whether you’re 20 or 70!
